We found this flag in my Great Grandmother's house while cleaning it out after she died, it took 3 years, four story house packed to the brim with EVERYTHING... At any rate, I found this flag folded up and stuck with some old greeting cards she had gotten over the years. There are names of soldiers all over it and in the central point there is one name (I don't have the flag here and the file isn't good enough to read it, sorry...)

I don't understand the Japanese writing on it however...

If anyone could help me understand this, I would be very grateful! This is part of our family history since my Great Grandfather had been in Japan during the war.

My Great Grandfather must have either sent it to his wife, or brought it home after the war. We have a history of soldiers, his wasn't nearly as good as his father's was though... Great Great Grandfather was "mustarded out" of the army after four years of duty for being spotted in a "house of ill-fame"... XD He was given the boot for getting booty!!!
